Yesterday, mum and I went to Matamata. Just outside of this town was where The Hobbit was shot. It was shot on The Alexander Farm and during the time that the movie was being shot around New Zealand there was a ban on any mode of transportation especially airplanes that could do any taping. If any planes got within 5 km of the shooting of the movie the pilots would lose their licence. It was amazing.
Today, Saturday, July 26, 2013 We headed to Te Puai which is a Maori Village and had Geysers (Geothermal Region) During this tour I became Maori!!

Auckland, New Zealand

Good Day from The Southern Hemisphere!! On Wednesday, July 17th we (my mum and I)arrived in Auckland New Zealand after 17 hours of flights on different planes. Auckland is a university city, however not many students were seen as they are on break. They go back in 2 weeks. Auckland is a city near the water and is petite in size compared to Toronto. We hopped on a inner link bus (green bus) and took a tour of the city for $1.90. Here are a few pictures of Auckland.
All the pictures from above are either part of the City of Auckland or about the parrots that live in the Rainforest in the North Island of New Zealand that cannot fly. We stayed at the Scenic Hotel which was good, however I learned that there are parrots in the rainforest of the North Island of New Zealand that do not fly. Here is a picture of me with two stuffed examples of them. Then we took the Intercity bus from Auckland through various towns to Paihi (which is known as part of the Bay of Islands). Within the Bay of Islands, which are in the North part of the North Island, there are many towns. We took a boat on the water and saw many dolphins and the famous “Hole in the Rock.” The cool thing about the “Hole in the Rock” is that on one side is the Bay and the other side is the Pacific Ocean.
